This single paragraph does not mean that there are no more prophesies to be fulfilled. For example: "The world is stirred with the spirit of war. The prophecy of the eleventh chapter of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place. 9T 14.2" what prophesy is in Daniel chapter 11? Daniel 11 describes war between the Kings of the North and South. In Daniel 12 at the end of the vision given in chapter 11 Daniel sees 2 men talking and the one says, Daniel 12:6 "And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. https://bible.com/bible/1/dan.12.6-7.KJV This is a time prophesy directly related to Daniel 11 which EGW said in the above quote had "nearly reached its fulfillment".
"Definite time" means that we have a precise beginning or ending such as when the prophesy says, in Daniel 9:25 "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." https://bible.com/bible/1/dan.9.25.KJV This verse as we know gives the beginning of several prophetic times, Jesus ministry, death, etc. Daniel 12 has this, "11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days." https://bible.com/bible/1/dan.12.11-12.KJV While traditionally we have placed this within the 2300 day prophesy, EGW states that this prophesy hasn't been fulfilled yet. So somehow there must be a different application of this text. We need to prayerfully restudy the 11th and 12th chapters of Daniel.
