Friday David and I were trying to change the oil on a truck. The previous owner had put the wrong oil filter on and had tightened it down so hard we couldn't get it off. We went to get a different tool to help us get the filter off. By the time we got back it was about half an hour until sundown so we stopped working. Tonight we tried again with the new tool but it was still being stubborn. So I prayed, Father in heaven please help David get the filter off. In Jesus name amen. Then a tool slipped and David said, ouch. So I said, and help David not to get hurt, in Jesus name. A little voice said, start praising for the miracle. So I began to sing softly, hallelujah, hallelujah. David said, it moved! I sang flounder. He said, it moved again. I got louder hallelujah, praise the Lord. What a friend we have in Jesus. Filter off and new one is on! Now I'm crying at the simplicity of it all and how God shows up when we praise Him.
