Help--why are you trying to do things on your own, call for help.

H- Hope, hope thou in God. Psalm 119:114, 116 "Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. 116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: And let me not be ashamed of my hope."  https://www.bible.com/bible/1/PSA.119.KJV  Psalm 42:11 "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/PSA.42.KJV Isaiah 26:3 "'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."  https://www.bible.com/bible/1/ISA.26.KJV

E- Escape 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/1CO.10.KJV

L-Limit, don't limit God. Psalm 78:41 "Yea, they turned back and tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/PSA.78.KJV

P-Prayer Ephesians 6:10-18 "10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" https://www.bible.com/bible/1/EPH.6.KJV

I heard a sermon the other day that was speaking about the night that Jesus sent his disciples in the boat on the lake. The story is found in Matthew chapter 14. Verse 22 says, "And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/MAT.14.KJV  That word constrained is an interesting word here; it means "To compel by physical, moral, or circumstantial force; oblige" Jesus made the disciples get in a boat that He KNEW was going to be headed straight into a storm. There are many STORMS in this life and before they can touch us, they must pass through the hands of the Almighty God. Satan, as in the case of Job, in the Bible must get permission from God for anything that he does. (see Job chapter 1:6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. 12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/JOB.1.KJV & 2:1 "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. 2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. 4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. 6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. 7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown."  https://www.bible.com/bible/1/JOB.2.KJV ) Satan does not have free reign to do anything that he wishes; if he did we would all be dead. God knows the trials that you will go through in this life and He is there ready to HELP you if you will ask Him and trust that He has your best interest at heart.  Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/JER.29.KJV Back to the boat, in Matthew 14, as soon as Jesus and Peter get back in the the boat, the storm ceases. Jesus had just taken Peter by the hand after he had failed to keep his eyes on Jesus and had begun to sink. Jesus is waiting with outstretched arm to save you too. and then He will walk with you through the rest of your life's journey, just don't take your eyes off of Him. Jesus says in Matthew 28:18, and 20 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." https://www.bible.com/bible/1/MAT.28.KJV
