I have always had questions growing up that have never been satisfactorily answered by any teacher in all my schooling years. Questions about the Biblical account of Joshua commanding the sun and moon to stand still and How did the sun dial go backwards for king Hezekiah in the book of Habakkuk?  Or if the earth is spinning so fast how come I can't feel it?  I remember when I was about 7 years old when a teacher told me that the earth was a round ball shape.  I remember laughing at the absurdity of the earth being a ball shape as a seven year old!  I made a fist with my left hand and with my right hand tried to use my fingers like people standing upside down on a ball, and I just laughed and laughed at the thought. many years went by and my mother, my own mother, asked me what I thought about people who thought that the earth was flat, and I said, "I think that they are plum crazy".  She told me to do some research and gave me a link to start me on my path.  I thought she was completely nuts!  Then I did a LOT of research.  Here are my findings and some links for them:(just see what you think and then make up your own mind)  Open mind for a bit and don't ridicule without looking at all "evidences")   If the earth were rotating at 1000 miles per hour and suddenly stopped for a whole day for Joshua and then restarted rotating what would have been the effects on life on this planet? on the oceans?  The sloshing effect of the oceans would have caused massive flooding. As when a semi truck hauling liquid suddenly has to stop, the sloshing effect propels the truck forward several feet after it normally would have stopped.   And if the earth not only stopped rotating but went backwards for 10 degrees on a sundial and then returned to it's normal rotation what kind of effects would that have produced?  Below are just the texts of the Bible used in the links below.

One other argument against the spinning ball "theory" would be, if the distance between the earth and the sun were actually 93 million miles then that would have to be the radius of our "orbit" around the sun.  2×3.14 x 93 million=  584,040,000. Now divide that circumference of our "orbit" by 365.25 to get the supposed rate of speed that we are supposed to be hurtling through space.  1,599,014.3737166 mpd.  Divide that by 24 hours and you get 66,625.598904858 mph. Now not only are we supposedly hurtling through space at that rate of speed but, according to any encyclopedia we are ALSO supposedly rotating on an axis at a rate of 1,000 miles per hour.  Have any of you ever watched any science fiction movies about outer space travel? (like Star Wars etc.) When the space craft jumps into "Hyperspace" what do the stars look like? If the stars were as far away as science suggests and if we were hurtling through space at those rates of speed, how in the world could we EVER pick out one single star in the night sky? Much less see the same sets of stars night after night for hundreds and thousands of years?

Not Contaminated!

So I heard a sermon today that I had to take issue with.  The minister said that when Jesus touched the leper that He became contaminated.  I believe this to be a heresy.  Our major founder EGW has this to say about Jesus and his nature.

 A View of the Shaking

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel. Eze. 38:19.

I saw some, with strong faith and agonizing cries, pleading with God. Their countenances were pale and marked with deep anxiety, expressive of their internal struggle. Firmness and great earnestness was expressed in their countenances; large drops of perspiration fell from their foreheads....

Evil angels crowded around, pressing darkness upon them to shut out Jesus from their view, that their eyes might be drawn to the darkness that surrounded them, and thus they be led to distrust God and murmur against Him. Their only safety was in keeping their eyes directed upward. Angels of God had charge over His people, and as the poisonous atmosphere of evil angels was pressed around these anxious ones, the heavenly angels were continually wafting their wings over them to scatter the thick darkness.

As the praying ones continued their earnest cries, at times a ray of light from Jesus came to them, to encourage their hearts and light up their countenances. Some, I saw, did not participate in this work of agonizing and pleading. They seemed indifferent and careless.... The angels of God... went to the aid of the earnest, praying ones. . . . But His angels left those who made no effort to help themselves, and I lost sight of them.

I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness of the Laodiceans. . . .

My attention was then turned to the company I had seen, who were mightily shaken. . . . The company of guardian angels around them had been doubled, and they were clothed with an armor from their head to their feet. . . .

I heard those clothed with the armor speak forth the truth with great power. It had effect....I asked what had made this great change. An angel answered, "It is the latter rain, the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the loud cry of the third angel."

    My heart is saddened by the continual compromise that I have seen coming into the church.  There are some that have stopped paying tithe to the church due to not agreeing with the way that the church is run.  I even heard someone give a sermon that the church is Babylon and that we should come out of her!  People were saying amen and nodding their heads.  I could not believe what I was hearing!  I locked eyes with the speaker at one point and he knew that I was not falling for his arguments.  An evil gleam shone from his eyes and I knew I had to get out of that place immediately!  I have written blogs on tithing and on our church not being Babylon.  .  God is coming sooooooooooooo very soon.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE God help the church and my kids come back to you.
     On a different note, kind of, if anyone actually reads these, please say a prayer for my children.  The oldest is a believer but has started working on the Sabbath, more compromise.  The youngest has gone way off the deep end, drinking (even though he isn't old enough), smoking and even getting into the occult world.  My heart breaks.  God please wake all of them up someway, somehow!  Whatever it takes to get their attention, that's what I pray for this Mother's day weekend.
     Before anyone disagrees with any of my premises on the compromises in our church, catch up on past blogs regarding these subjects, especially about tithe and the church not being babylon!

Protection

A few nights ago I had a dream that someone had drop kicked an infant.

I rushed over to where the baby landed to find them in a plastic bubble. The baby was perfectly fine. I thought to myself that it was lucky that it had such good protection. I decided that I would take the baby home and feed it. Upon closer inspection the bubble that was protecting the baby was also going to prevent it from eating. As I said the words, "But how will you eat?" I woke up. The only way for that infant to get nourishment would have been to strip away the protective bubble that had protected it from harm. I am reminded that a baby can't stay in a bubble forever. Sometimes God allows our circumstances to strip away our earthly protections. Jobs that we think are so important or anything else that we cling to for security. In order to learn to trust and depend on Jesus more fully and in order that we might feed more on His word. Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  1 Corinthians 3:2 (KJV)  I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.  I had a good job, I was doing all the things that I thought that I needed to do to make a living.  In October I got hurt and was unable to work.  I haven't worked since the 25th of October and yet God has sustained me.  It has given me the chance to dig into God's Word and lean into Him for my faith.  Well on Monday I got a call that my job has been terminated because I haven't been able to go and the next day I got a call that my surgeon will not do surgery on me without payment up front.  Without surgery I cannot work and without work I have no money to pay surgeon.  I have NO idea what God is up to!  All I know is that my bubble has been stripped away.  God is on the Move is all I know.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTzb0SpJfjw

Romans 8:1

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. The more I'm attacked the more I am sure of three things: 1. God is with me 2. I am on the right track and 3. Jesus is coming so very soon. The constant attacks cause me to cling more and more to Jesus.

Lost my job the other day due to being unable to work for the last 6 months. Health insurance didn't allow me to have the back surgery that I needed, so I can't work. Today took me to the foot of the cross once again. I get so impatient for others to wake up to the fact that Jesus is on His way. I feel like a kid at 4:30 in the morning on Christmas morning and my parent's are STILL asleep! I want to jump on the bed and say WAKE UP! A Godly woman reminded me today to have patience.

So my prayer for patience before went something like this; Lord give me patience and give it to me right now. Yeah I know... it doesn't work like that. The weariness and loneliness bogs me down sometimes. Trusting in God's timing is so hard, when you think you know how things are supposed to go.
